Shanny’s Birthday…halfway celebrated.

Shanny turned fourteen this year!    We had a little family party March 4, with plans to go to Alice in Wonderland on Saturday but our  plans changed when she got a cough/cold.   We will go to that movie  in a few weeks when Rach is home from college for her break.   Shanny’s celebration cake was chocolate and we still have some in the freezer as it was a big one and I am not supposed to be eating sweets so that is why there is some left.

Her kind grandmothers and Grandpa  sent her nice cards  and even called her…that is the photo where she is talking on the phone.  Shanny also got a new purple dress coat, ( her fave color) but we are still trying to get the right one shipped,  as the first one was not a great fit.  We also gave her a bunch of good art supplies, drawing is her passion.

We will have another birthday to celebrate this month… Rach turns 19 in just a few weeks.   Can’t wait to see her!

Happy Birthday Shanny. I am just getting over a cold myself, so I share your misery.

It’s probably a better idea to wait to see Alice. The lines were kind of crazy over the week-end.

I’m surprised Kirsten is willing to wait that long to see this movie. Jacob was walking by and I said, “Shannon is turning 14” and he said, “she doesn’t look that old.” I thought that was funny.

Shanny is not a make-up girl. She looks younger than a lot of other girls her age. I am glad for that.
Kirsten was very disappointed about Alice!

Shanny must have been a beautiful baby…..because look at her now! She’s so pretty and her hair must be envied by many. Those are some tall candles on that scrumptious birthday cake.

I like the sweetness quote at the top and agree with it.
